Mohammed-Firoz Hussein (Firoz)
Firoz is the proprietor and practice manager of Foot Comfort Centre. He has a particular interest in general foot care, foot health education, biomechanics, gait analysis and ingrown toenails eg. nail bracing (like teeth bracing) for the treatment of ingrown toenails as an alternative to nail surgery.
Firoz’s professional career spans some 25 years, during which time he has worked within the NHS and private sectors. Firoz has trained in a number of medical and allied disciplines including chiropody & podiatry (Qualifying in 1988 @ Northampton School of Podiatry), orthotics, prosthetics, musculoskeletal medicine, sports therapy, foot surgery (Qualifying in 1997), Pedorthics (Qualifying as Board Certified Pedorthist @ New York School Of Pedorthic Medicine in 2003), acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine (Qualifying in 2005), hypnotherapy and neurolinguistic programming (Qualifying in 2007).
Firoz has travelled and taught extensively on the subject of biomechanics, orthotics, cryosurgery, foot health and foot surgery both nationally and internationally and held a visiting Adjunct Professor post at Barry University, Miami during 1993-1997.
Firoz left full time clinical practice in 2003 and set up a medical product development company called Orthotic-Lab Limited and returned back to clinical practice in early 2011. Since then Firoz has been working with a range of colleagues to update his skills whilst continuing to provide footcare and pedorthic services.
His ambition is to join forces with a group of highly skilled colleagues and fellow professionals to bring you an ethical, comprehensive and inclusive health care facility focusing on the management of foot and ankle services, ‘Footcare & Footwear for the Whole Family’.
