I have been reading a lot in the news recently about people across London and the UK who increasingly need to rely on food banks due to financial hardships. It seems incredible that here in the World’s fifth biggest economy people need the services and generosity of food banks and their volunteers. But they do, so we’ve teamed up with our local foodbank, Sufra NW London. Sufra supports individuals and families across Brent and North-West London by collecting and then distributing food parcels.
We have recently created a space in Foot Comfort Centre to be a collection point for donations, urged after learning a local estate agent does the same. Items that are particularly needed are: long- life milk, tinned vegetable and fish, biscuits and toiletries.
We’re lucky to live in an area which still has more community spirit than people often realise and that’s something I’m very proud of. So let’s come together and provide these much needed items for locals in need.
Thanks for reading,
